DESCRIPTION:

The Attack 2000 system has been purpose designed and formulated to provide a highly durable, all weather-sporting surface with maximum skid resistance. Manufactured from selected premium 100% acrylic resins, light stable oxide pigments, and a unique combination of reinforcing powders and aggregates to proovide durability and performance. The specialised resins used in the production of Attack 2000 provide excellent scuff resistance in both wet and dry conditions.

ADVANTAGES:

Provides maximum traction. Early water resistance. Dries rapidly. Excellent adhesion. Excellent scuff resistance in wet and dry conditions.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

New concrete shall be wood float or broom finished. DO NOT USE HARDENERS OR DRYERS. ACCELERATORS BASED ON CALCIUM CHLORIDE SHOULD NOT BE USED IN THE CONCRETE MIX.
Technical information guidelines on base construction, design and general information on base repairs and preparation are provided under the heading 'Foundations, Bases and Soils'.
If a curing membrane is to be used, use only those approved by the manufacturer, Adcrete Industries Pty Ltd.
Allow concrete to fully cure.
Curing times can vary from 14 to 28 days dependant upon climatic conditions and the strength of the concrete mix.
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil, laitance, curing compounds other than those recommended by the manufacturer, forum release agents and any other contaminants which may impair adhesion of the sealer or base coat.
Remove any residual paint with paint stripper, scraping, grinding or sand blasting to achieve clean concrete surface.
Remove any loose or spalled concrete down to a clean sound surface. Hairline and minor non-structural cracks should be veed out and filled with a high performance solvent free elastomenic sealant compatible with the system.
Make good all depressions, spalled areas, bird baths, etc., with a blend of sand, cement and Super M (refer Super M data sheet).

ACID ETCHING:

Ref: Surface Preparation of Concrete, data sheet SP-C. New or old concrete surfaces must be etched with a solution of 1 part Hydrochloric Acid to 3 parts water. On porous surfaces the mix ratio can be reduced to 1:3.
Do not allow acid mixture to dry, keep the surface area damp. Allow to react for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, scrubbing the mixture thoroughly with a stiff bristle broom.
Rinse off with copious quantities of clean water applied at high pressure to remove all traces of concrete salts and allow the surface to dry.
If white residues of concrete salts are evident on the dried surface, remove by scrubbing, high pressure hosing and a very diluted acid wash (10 to 1), if necessary until the surface is clean.

APPLICATION:

Do not use Playpave when temperatures are either below 10°C or above 35°C, or when rain is imminent.

THE SYSTEM:

Sound surfaces normally require the use of one (1) application of Concrete Sealer, and one (1) application of Base Coat and one (1) application Top Coat. Areas of excessive porosity should receive additional treatment. Following the application of the Concrete Sealer it may be necessary to apply an application of undiluted or partially diluted Base Coat, apply by squeegee or trowel.
Alternatively apply an application of a blend of Super M, sand and cement prior to the installation of Concrete Sealer.

SEALER COAT:

Dilute Concrete Sealer in the ratio of 2 parts sealer to 1 part clean water.
Stir the mixture thoroughly before and during the application procedure to provide a homogenous blend.
Paint around the edges and posts with a paintbrush.
General application may be by brush, roller, airless spray or a combination of squeegee and short nap roller, never by squeegee only.
Note:
After the Concrete Sealer has dried, inspect the surface for irregularities and obvious low spots.
Minor depressions and surface irregularities may be leveled using a blend of Super M, sand and cement.
Allow a minimum of 2 hours between coats.
Any subsequent trowel or brush lines must be rubbed smooth prior to the application of the Base and Top Coats.

BASE AND TOP COATS:

Dilute product in the ratio of 3 parts to 1 part clean water.
Stir the mixture thoroughly before and during the application procedure to provide a homogenous blend and avoid settlement.
Pour the mixture in "wind rows" over the surface and spread evenly with a wide flexible rubber squeegee, level off with a wide firm bristle broom before coating starts to dry.
Apply a minimum of 2 coats.
Apply the Base Coat crosswise of the court with the Top Coat application lengthwise of the court.
It is important that all ridges are leveled off prior to the application of the finish coat and that the final coat is true with an even texture.

COVERAGE: (BASED ON UNDILUTED MATERIAL)

Coverage will depend upon the texture of the base surface to which the Top Coat is applied.

CONCRETE SEALER 8.5 sqm per litre
BASE COAT 3.5 sqm per litre per coat
TOP COAT 1.75 sqm per litre per coat

DRYING TIMES:

In general the first filler coat application will take longer to dry because of the extra thickness of the product due to voids.
Allow approx. 1-1.5 hours at 25ºC. Additional coats average 0.5 - 1 hour at 25ºC.
Allow a minimum of 1 hour, depending on temperature, between coats.
There is no maximum drying time limit between re-coats.
Playing time is generally 24 hours after completion, dependant on good drying conditions.
Full hardness and abrasion resistance will take 4 -5 days under good drying conditions.

LINE MARKING:

Apply A.P. Line Marking Paint by brush, roller or spray.
Colours available are white, yellow, red, blue, black and orange.
Apply in two (2) coats by brush or roller or one (1) coat by an appropriate spraying unit to achieve a total coverage of approximately 50 lineal metres per litre for 50mm wide lines.

COLOUR RANGE:

Playpave is available in nine (9) standard weather resistant colours. Special colours are available on request. Deep Green, Forest Green, Light Sage, Terracotta, Light Terracotta, Mid Tan, Mid Blue, Blue Grey, Fawn.

PRECAUTION:

Store in a cool place, never in the hot sun, keep material from freezing. Clean all equipment with water, immediately after use. Do not allow the product to drip on adjacent surfaces. Immediately remove drips with water as dried product is difficult to remove and will create a blemish on the finished surface.

LIMITATIONS:

Although the product has excellent early water resistance, do not apply when rain is imminent or temperatures are below 10°C or above 35°C.
